Happy Returns

After 36 days away, I'm happy to be home. 36 days in a trailer the size of my kitchen, with dear hubby and two dogs.
We didn't mind the cramped space, unless two of us tried to do something at the same time.  The weather was warm enough that I did most of the cooking in the dinning shelter, and frankly we spent most of our time walking the beach.  The Lab swam, we beach-combed for shells, sharks teeth, and interesting bits every day,  and I'm the most relaxed I've been in years.
The only downside was that I found it very difficult to work.  It was so humid that layers of acrylic took hours to dry, one not very thick application of gel medium took two days to dry, so I spent time drawing and taking reference photo's instead.
We loved Hunting Island SC and hope to go back...next year? Only if I sell lots of art, and since my 'mojo' is well rested and ready for action I trust my muse to make that happen.
